There were no words between them when he returned - but Pip was certain he could see the hurt that was in her eyes even though she tried to hide it.

2. AU (Wild Arms 3)
They had met while battling for their lives over at one of the ruins near Boot Hill. He had been injured from a surprise ambush, and she had just coincidentally came across the place and saved him.

"Repeat after me, Mr. Bernadette - this."

"Zh... Zh... zis!"

...this was going to take a while.

4. Crossover (Fairy Tail)
The first time she saw the long-haired braided man stepping into the halls of the guild, Erza had a distinct feeling that things were never going be the same again.

Her thought was validated a few minutes later when he started shooting fire bullets towards one Natsu Dragonil.

5. First Time
Pip made sure never to try his luck against her ever again after almost losing his arm (again).

6. Fluff
"Cake?" offered the woman as she held up the plate before him.

The man grinned sheepishly as he accepted the proffered treat. "Zanks."

7. Humour
All he could do was to just stare as he watched Erza changing from her armour to her sundress in the blink of an eye - all without him being able to see her most marvellous cleavage.

8. Hurt/Comfort
In the end, all he really could ever care about was the money.

9. Smut
So long as Erza didn't break his bones in the process, he was really fine with it.

10. UST
Oddly, the first thing that came into mind as he left the Fiertia was not Yuri or Walter, but the strong-willed woman with hair that reminded him of blood.

Yuuko/Rou 8)

Sigh.

1. Angst
No matter how hard he tried, he could never entirely forget the scar that wouldn't heal in his heart.

2. AU (AU where Rou is under Yuuko's wing)
Hijikata grumbled as he stomped into his room, his yukata soaked from the rain - the next time Yuuko wanted something that was entirely non-existent, she could go and get it herself.

3. Crack!fic
She really couldn't help but laugh when she walked in to seeing the young ten-year-old stuck upside down in one of her antique vases. The reasoning he gave after Maru and Momo had pulled him out ("I was finding the Kingdom of Mayonnaise!") made the icing on the cake.

4. Crossover (Gintama)
...when he heard the words 'wish shop', meeting such an annoying woman with her pet Amanto were the last things that Hijikata expected himself to face. The fact that she cheerfully pointed out his cursed sword didn't make things any better.

5. First Time
The final words she uttered to him in their first encounter ("You are destined for great things. You must never fear anything as long as you are alive. Fight to live, and live to fight. Remember that when the time comes.") continued to remain in his mind even until now - and it was something that Hijikata hated himself for.

6. Fluff
Pain and loss was something that they both understood and experienced.

7. Humour
"Ah, Hijikata-kun, whatever are you doing?"

"...looking for the Kingdom of Mayonnaise."

"In a vase again? I thought you'd have learned your lesson after last time. Or perhaps was it because you got jumpy at that sudden--"

"T-That's none of your business, Ichihara!"

Being so far away she couldn't do anything for him - all she could do was to send him her words of encouragement.

9. Smut
It was so very amusing to see how Hijikata reacted so strongly to her touches and teases.

Hijikata had to tell himself everytime that it wasn't worth it whenever he was forced to face her again.

Teddie/Yosuke 8)

Damnit Hilda.

1. Angst
He's alright, he's alright, was the mantra that went on endlessly in Yosuke's head as he clambered onto his bed, trying (and failing) to not look at the spot in his room where the bear would always sleep. He's strong, and he knows about the Shadows. He's not going to die like Saki-senpai.

The feeling of dread in his gut was however another story.

2. AU (Some AU where Yosuke is the leader IDK)
The brunette scowled as the wails of the bear came from behind him - damnit, what the hell was he supposed to do when you found yourself all alone after falling through a TV and waking up to see something like that looking over you?

3. Crack!fic
"Teddie, what--what the hell are you doing?!"

"I'm eating lunch, Yosuke!"

"YOU DON'T EAT LUNCH WITH TOPSICLES! WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET THEM FROM?!"

"I got them from the freezer!"

Oh yeah, he was doomed.

4. Crossover (Devil Survivor)
Yosuke swore mentally as he dodged the oncoming attack from the Wendigo - seriously, just why did he ever agree to help out that strange... thing when they had better things to do like saving Rise from Belial?

5. First Time
Yosuke had the distinct displeasure of knowing that Teddie was a very loud snorer.

6. Fluff
For all him being annoying, he couldn't help but laugh when he saw the bear enjoying his Topsicle so happily.

7. Humour
If Teddie started on those terrible puns of his one... more... time...

8. Hurt/Comfort
"Idiot," muttered the brunette as he wiped off one of his wounds with a disinfected washcloth. "I already told you I was fine."

"But that Shadow could have knocked you out, Yosuke!"

The teenager snorted. "Don't worry about me, remember? Souji's the one who's leading us after all, not me. He's your sensei."

If Teddie might have paid better attention back then, he might have heard the strained (forced) tone of neutrality that Yosuke had employed there and then.

9. Smut
One thing was for sure - he was never going to get in that suit again.

10. UST
He wasn't sure why, but he never wanted Teddie to leave his house and leave with anyone else - the thought of him not being at his place was just... unnatural.

It had taken one death to make him stop - and of all the things that could have happened, it had taken another death to make him move on.

Honestly, it was almost funny if it hadn't been so tragic.

Shinjiro really hoped that Akihiko would just stop with the balls thing for once. If he hadn't known better, things might have gotten messy pretty quickly.

It was almost strange, how the both of them could get along so well despite being so different - even to the point where their zanpaktous became the bane and honey for one another.

The first time Shinjiro summoned his Persona, Akihiko could feel a slight stirring from Polydeuces in his mind as Castor burst forth.

No matter what anyone said, Shinji's lunches really were the best.

"Koromaru said you cooked dinner!"

...he really needed to remember that that robot could understand dog talk.

Even if it was next to impossible, he was still going to try and remove the burden that rested on Shinjiro's shoulders.

"I've had enough of this. I'm leaving." With those words, Shinjiro spun around his heels and started to walk away - only to find himself being stopped when a firm hand reached out and grabbed his arm. He turned around then to see Akihiko looking back at him, dark eyes looking unwaveringly right at him.

"Please, Shinji," he spoke, his voice nearing to almost desperation. "Don't leave us. Don't leave me."

Shinjiro resisted the urge to bite on the inside of his cheek and instead let his own anger show on his face. "And then what? I can't even control Castor!" He snarled once, and then pulled his arm away from tke silver-haired teen's grasp. "You and Mitsuru will do just fine. You don't need me."

There were always the scars of the past that would never heal.

2. AU (AU where Gintoki is in the Shinsengumi~)
Gintoki gritted his teeth when he received the order: Arrest Katsura Kotaro by any means necessary.

Sometimes, he had to wonder if joining the Shinsengumi was truly worth it if it meant having to go against his (former) comrades.

3. Crack!fic
"Ah, Paako, you're slacking again. The customers are dissatisfied by your performance on stage just now."

"What? I totally moved my hips up there! I sweated out my life and my soul out there performing for all the perverted old man out there even though they can get better things from watching those dirty nurse videos! I scarified my samurai soul in order to do this for my rent and you're telling me it's not enough!? Why don't you go up there and try it, Zura!"

"It's not Zura, its Zurako."

"THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY DAMN DIFFERENCE!!"

4. Crossover (Devil May Cry)
The moment their eyes met, Katsura could see that this strange, silver-haired fighter who had appeared out of the blue to help was certainly unlike any other human he had ever met; after all, the red eyes were certainly an indication that he had demon blood in his veins.

5. First Time
He returned with only a handful of troops and his white clothes splattered with the blood of his enemies - but even so, he could see the unfaltering determination that was shining in Gintoki's eyes.

6. Fluff
In the rain, they both enjoyed a moment of peace while sharing candy and soba.

7. Humour
"Ah Zura, you should try eating something like this instead," went Gintoki as he placed the bowl before him.

Katusra took a moment to eye the dish before him sceptically. "And what exactly is this?"

"It's soba!"

"..." The long-haired man paused there and then. "Last I remembered, Gintoki, soba didn't come with red beans."

"It's uh, a new kind of soba! I just made it - the Gintoki Soba! Surely someone like you should be able to see how wonderful it is--ow! What the hell, Zura?!"

"It's a revolt to taste buds of society," he calmly returned before ordering his usual bowl of soba from Ikumatsu.

8. Hurt/Comfort
From the moment the news of Sakatmoto's desertion reached his ears, Katsura knew that they were going to lose the war. Still, Gintoki's presence was the anchor that kept him determined in his goal.

9. Smut
Even though he was the infamous Shiroyasha, he was nothing but gentle throughout the whole night.

10. UST
No matter what, he would get Gintoki to join his cause again. For more reasons than one.

He had spent so many years in getting where he was now - and it had only taken one trial and a single piece of paper to shatter his entire world.

2. AU (That popular AU where Phoenix never got disbarred)
Phoenix could only wince in sympathy as he watched that 'rock star prosecutor' (so dubbed by Miles, who had said it with a distinct stiffness) getting utterly steam-rolled by his own elder brother, who was the defence in the case that was shown on TV.

3. Crack!fic
"So," Phoenix started abruptly out of the blue as he placed down the magazine he was holding and looked over at Edgeworth who was idly flipping through the newspaper. "If a kiss-" he purposefully ignored Apollo's splutter from the table there and then "-is considered as a fourth-degree sexual assault, then what's the second?"

"That would be what you call 'badtouching' - or in proper terms, groping," the prosecutor responded blandly without even bothering to direct his attention onto him, though Phoenix was sure the man was rolling his eyes behind that paper.

Apollo tried his best to keep his head down low in an attempt to keep his blushing face was left invisible as Phoenix went on. "So the first would be outright sex then? I suppose that would make sense..."

"M-Mr. Wright!" the defence attorney shouted, finally unable to hold himself back. "Please don't speaking about such things so causally!"

The smile on Phoenix's face only grew suspiciously wider at that. "Why so flustered, Apollo? Did you get sexually assaulted by that rock star prosecutor or something?"

"O-Of course not! If anything, it was entirely will--"

"Ah, so it's not rape then. Damn, I can't press charges."

"MR. WRIGHT!!"

4. Crossover (Gintama)
"Ah, Mitsurugi! How nice to see you here!"

"...Naruhodou, may I remind you that I'm on patrol right now."

"Can't you even loosen up a little? Or is everyone in the Shinsengumi this bad? It's not like I'm here to ask for your money or anything, you know."

5. First Time
Looking at Phoenix for the first time ever since hid disbarring, Edgeworth could finally feel the full impact of just how much the former attorney's life had shattered.

6. Fluff
While it wasn't exactly what he had expected, but Edgeworth supposed he could get used to this unexpected patchwork family.

7. Humour
"You could stand to at least convince Trucy that 'Magical Panties Trick' is an entirely inappropriate name for her act - especially considering where she's doing it."

"I don't really see how it is, Miles. She is doing it with those panties - unless you'd rather call them boxes, but then 'Magical Boxers Trick' doesn't work quite as well, you know?"

Edgeworth had to wonder at times why did he even bother trying to put up with those two.

8. Hurt/Comfort
He only held Phoenix in his arms as the now former attorney sobbed into his chest - he didn't say anything or try anything else; all he did was to be there for the man, just as Phoenix had been there for him all those years ago in the aftermath of resolving DL-6 once and for all.

9. Smut
It was only then he could see the man that was underneath that poker face of his that he had worn so well by now.

10. UST
He could remember it then, that moment of tenseness as they simply stared at each other after having stumbled on one another while trying to get back from a night's worth of drinking.

Thinking about it, Phoenix supposed it was only good fortune that he had been brave (stupid, Edgeworth had said later) enough to make the first move - otherwise they'd never be able to get to where they were now.
